It’s been a while since I’ve created a DIY. I can tell you that I’ve missed the creative process immensely. I’ve been thinking about this one for a while and trying to figure out the best way to make it happen. It’s easy to put together a photo collage of different pictures but I thought how cool it would be if I could take one picture and blow it up to a large picture photo grid format. I liked the idea of square frames, so I took the concept of a Instagram post and made my grid 9” x 9“ x 9 frames. I had already found the frames at my local dollar store. The great thing about this concept is that you can do it with any size picture frame: large or small. It will work with any shape picture frame as well. The thing I found out was that it was quite easy to bring this idea together using One piece of free software that is net based.

So I got to go to my little cousins High school graduation last weekend and it got me thinking, holy cow summer is almost over and the kids will be going back to school within the next couple weeks. My brain starting ticking on a bunch of memories from college. I had the best time! I also bought a crap ton of things that I didn’t need! (Newbie problems)… The question I came up with was, how can I impart my years of wisdom for the younger generation so they don’t spend their money, or mom and dad’s money, on things that will stay in the box? Yes, you’ll need notebooks, pens and paper – at least I think people still write things down…This list of 15 essential holistic dorm room items that you’ll actually use, is my little manifesto that I wish someone would have written when I was off to school years ago.
Read More8 Ways to Get Amazing Sleep By Bringing Nature Into Your Bedroom.
Over here in the Northeast it’s been hot! Like, really hot... For people that can make ice cubes in the backyard until April, this means that sleeping is not comfortable. Hell, moving at all is not comfortable. And, if you’re blessed to live in a home with radiator heating like mine, there is no ductwork which means no central air! (Don’t you dare say window unit!) I love the charm of my radiator heating. It keeps my house perfectly warm in the winter and that’s more important due to our disproportionate seasons. Unfortunately, this post is not about cooling down. (That’s just the context for the time of year I’m writing this. So, don’t cry for me Argentina! I will gladly take my two months of heat and suffer through like a champ because I know what’s a comin’ in a few months.) Instead, this post is all about 8 ways to get amazing sleep by bringing nature into your bedroom. When done right, these techniques will help you get sleep all year round, even in the hot, sweaty summer…

I got to thinking the other day about that Kohler commercial from years ago where this couple is being ushered around a sprawling Architect’s office and he’s going on about how amazing his work is, yada, yada. After his tour of self greatness he asks, “what can I do for you?” The woman pulls out a faucet from her purse and says, “design a house around this.” I used to laugh at that. How can a whole house be designed around a faucet? Fast forward years later and I’ve had countless meetings where clients have had inspiration pieces they want to incorporate into a space: treasured art, heirlooms, travel momentos, you name it.

By now you’ve probably binged through every episode of Stranger Things, season 3 and you’re totally bummed that you have wait a year or more for the next episodes. It’s just that streaming gravitational pull gets me… The 5,4,3,2,1 countdown at the end…I swear Netflix is on a mission to get people hooked on shows like Whitney got hooked on crack! It’s legit TV show crack, and I’m on to them! I’m also willingly going along for the ride to crack town. Thanks Netflix. Anyway, no worries here if you’re not done with season 3, as this is not a spoiler post. This is an expose of stranger designs of the 1980’s.
