First, I’d like to offer all of you a heartfelt and sincere apology for being absent from blogging. Last Friday was my first post in 17 long months, a virtual eternity in the online world. Secondly, I would like to thank so many of you for also reaching out to me during this long absence. Many times, a kind word from one of you lifted my mood and I thank you so much for reaching out to me and letting me know that you missed me. I’d like everyone to know that I am fine and healthy and that I have truly missed posting my weekly blogs and hearing from you. I am ready and excited to move on to new posts that I hope will inspire creativity and a DIY spirit from everyone who reads them.

This diy is hot, hot, hot! And easy, easy, easy! You may have seen tons of tutorials on this kind of whimsical décor on tumblr and Youtube. I’ve seen metal versions go for as much as $30.00. I put mine on my book shelf in my office and it looks great all year round! They can be customized with any color you want, I’m sticking with gold cause I’m obsessed with gold, white and black accents at the moment… How much does it cost, you ask? Well, my Dears, you can diy this nifty little sculpture for under $5.00. $7.00 if you use a fancy paint. Wanna know how? Let’s get into making a diy Scoppio Sphere Sunburst Spike!
