3 Beautiful and Simple CB2 Inspired Christmas Ornaments for 2020

November 13, 2020

This year I am loving the simplicity of CB2’s ornaments. I am actually pretty obsessed with them.

I also think that many companies have their 2020 products right on par with the larger conversations going on in our world and that is brilliant!

It not only shows that the companies are listening to the world but that they are participating in the conversations.

The main conversation is unity. I love that CB2 has embraced this sentiment, especially now.

Can’t decorate? 5 Quick Ways to Change Your Thoughts So You Can Change Your Space.

August 28, 2020

Do you believe that what you think can influence your life? If the only word you find to describe your living room is blah, you’re letting your thoughts affect your feelings.

A blah room is uninspiring and dull.

I’ll bet if you felt that way about the clothes you wore, you’d go shopping for some new pieces or accessories to jazz things up, right?

You wouldn’t go years feeling the blahs with your outfits without making some changes.

Why would you live with décor that made you feel that way and expect to feel differently without making changes?

Just like a new outfit, new throw pillows or an area rug won’t change the course of your life, but they can ignite a spark that inspires a revolution in the way you feel about your room.

How you think can about your home will shape your reality.

July 31, 2020

We’re all looking at our small living rooms and wondering how we can improve their layouts or get more functionality out of the space.

In many small homes the living room is where we spend most of our time.

We’re working from home and putting together makeshift offices and homeschooling nooks in living rooms.

Maybe because they have to be more than just “living rooms” we’re interested in how to get multi-function without sacrificing style.

11 Amazing Hacks to Create Space You Didn’t Know You Had!

June 12, 2020

Ah, the small house… It’s often described as charming, cozy and quaint. But what you don’t hear it described as roomy, accommodating or versatile. That’s because unlike larger homes with space to spread out and grow, smaller homes are finite, and you have to work with what you’ve got.

There’s no “bonus” room that lacks definition, or a great room in addition to the family room and living room. Nope, the small house is purposeful. Bedroom(s), kitchen, living, and bath are all exactly what they are intended to be with little wiggle room for any other purpose.

How To Make A Photo Grid Collage

August 16, 2019

It’s been a while since I’ve created a DIY. I can tell you that I’ve missed the creative process immensely. I’ve been thinking about this one for a while and trying to figure out the best way to make it happen. It’s easy to put together a photo collage of different pictures but I thought how cool it would be if I could take one picture and blow it up to a large picture photo grid format. I liked the idea of square frames, so I took the concept of a Instagram post and made my grid 9” x 9“ x 9 frames. I had already found the frames at my local dollar store. The great thing about this concept is that you can do it with any size picture frame: large or small. It will work with any shape picture frame as well. The thing I found out was that it was quite easy to bring this idea together using One piece of free software that is net based.
