The hustle and bustle of your daily life can leave you yearning for a calm escape where you can bring a bit of nature into your home. What better place to decorate in a nature inspired way than in your bedroom?

Today I’d like to share one of my favourite places to find unique earth-tone and nature inspired posters, and that’s Poster Store. Inspiration is waiting to be discovered and transforming your bedroom into a tranquil respite will take no time at all.

The only thing that you’ll need to do is find the right elements to liven up the space!

1. Picking the right color palette

One crucial part of adding a natural, earthy look to your bedroom is by picking a relevant color palette, like earth-tone neutrals: Warm browns, or forest greens.

Having a mix of these tones is a great way to add a natural look to the space. If you want to mix in some contrast, go for a pop of bright color to add dimension and personality.

2. Adding materials that exude earthy notes

There are a lot of other things that can elevate the look of the space, besides color. Instead of keeping things mechanical and boring, you can add natural elements to the look with wood, wicker, rattan, stone, and brick.

And for the bedding, using cotton and linen sheets and blankets will enhance the whole earthy vibe of the space.

3. Soft glow lights

The lighting scheme that you have in your bedroom will add to the ambience of the space. So, instead of having stark and uncomfortable lighting, it is always ideal for you to add some warm-toned lights to the space.

It brings together the look of the bedroom and makes the space cozy and warm too. And remember to use surface level lighting instead of relying only on ceiling lights. Table and floor lamps add great task lighting for reading or watching TV. Decorative lights like can up-lights or LED strips can add a beautiful glow to draw attention to furniture or architecture.

4. Adding frames and personalization

The space that you will spend the majority of your time in, needs to reflect your true vision, and adding natural looking frames around your art is a great way to enhance your space further.

It brings together the overall look, not to mention that it also adds a touch of warmth too.

5. Bring indoor plants into your home

The last thing that can elevate the look and feel of your bedroom is to add some indoor plants. They’re a great way to liven up the space. If you happen to be a plant enthusiast, bring larger plants in.

And, if you don’t have much of a green thumb, a realistic looking fake plant can still bring that plant life vibe in. Don’t forget to feather that nest with some botanical prints to round out the natural aesthetic you’re going for.
